The TIMED Auction opens for bidding to the public starting on Monday at 9:00 AM. The auction closes beginning on Wednesday at 9:00 AM. All items sold via the TIMED Auction are unreserved and will be sold to the highest timed auction bidder on each lot. Please select the BID ON TIMED AUCTION ITEM button on any auction lot and you will be redirected to our bidder online sign-up forms. Auction lots will close at a rate of 2 items per minute and at approximately 120 lots per hour. This should allow bidders ample time to do research and review the listing and attend onsite prior to making bids.
Bidders will be required to leave a $1,000.00 Credit Card Authorization in order to be issued a bidder number to bid on the TIMED Auction items. If a bidder does not make a purchase, their credit card authorization will be reversed back to the card holder within 24 to 48 hours from the conclusion of the auction.
A Best Practice is to set your MAX BID per lot, example, if you set a MAX BID of $200.00 or what you would be willing to pay for the item and the bid closes at $110.00. The system manages your bidding for you and you win the bid for $110.00. Alternately, you may set your MAX BID for $200.00 and you are out bid. Another bidder valued that particular item for a higher value than yourself and they win the lot and the auction for that item. The system has these tools available to you so you do not have to spend additional time during the closing period managing your bids. At the conclusion of the TIMED Auction lot closing successful bidders will be emailed their auction invoices to the email address on their internet auction bidder registration form. Payment can be made by Email Transfer from your online banking. If you would like to pay using an alternate method of payment, please either attend the auction prior to Friday or please contact our office immediately to make and confirm your arrangements. If paying by credit card, the balance over $1000 is subject to a 3% service fee. The balance in full will be required by Friday at 4:00 PM following the auction. Please be aware that the online credit authorization will not be automatically charged for any balance.
Items Purchased are subject to a 12% to Maximum of $1250.00 per item Buyers Admin Fee plus the GST. Please factor your Timed Auction Buyers Admin Fee into all your Timed Auction Bidding.
All TIMED Auction buyers first and last name will be provided to the City of Edmonton as part of a contractual term. This is for internal purposes and the information will not be released to any 3rd party in accordance with FOIPPA (Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act)
