The position: Trainee Territory Manager

Territory: Calgary, Alberta (travel required)

Reporting to: Sales Manager

Salary: Base salary + commission.

The Job

Working closely with a mentor you will:

  • Work with companies in a wide range of industries, including construction, oilfield, equipment sales and rental, mining, transportation, utilities, government, etc.
  • Key account management, developing relationships, and utilizing the CRM system.
  • Develop relationships with existing and assist in sourcing new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other proactive prospecting methods.
  • Gather market intelligence and develop a strategy/plan to effectively grow and manage consignments in your assigned territory.
  • Conduct and present research on potential new customers and how you may convert them into new business.
  • Attending auctions and tradeshows

The Person

To be successful in this role you must be all of the following:

  • Willingness to hunt down new business, and, to work and learn from experienced sales mentors and the wider sales teams.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Fluent in both written and verbal English
